Your Commitment

About Us

We recognize that volunteers have responsibilities and obligations to their families, employers and others. We also recognize that your time is valuable. Our MRC programs host two training days each year and occasional exercises throughout the year. We also occasionally test our messaging and deployment system via email, text and telephone. Nothing is mandatory. We simply ask that you participate when you can and that you respond to our messages.

The Bear River Health Department oversees Medical Reserve Corps units in Box Elder, Cache and Rich counties of Northern Utah. Each unit is made up of both volunteer medical professionals and volunteer support staff who can help when our local hospitals, public health departments and emergency medical systems are overwhelmed. Members are pre-identified, pre-credentialed, pre-trained and prepared to respond so vital time isn't wasted doing those things when their help is needed right away.
